Overview

Designed for the everything shop, the Rottler F10XS features Rottler's "Point and Shoot" CNC programmable control for automated and un-attended boring and surfacing of Vee and Inline Blocks as well as Cylinder Heads.

The F10XS is the evolution of over 50 years of Rottler made boring bars. Based on the original F2B model the F10XS features a 4500lb single piece rigid meehanite base casting. The machine uses automatically engaging centering finger system to allow fast and accurate centering on cylinder bores. The rigid base and spindle make sleeving operations a breeze, cuts of up to .200" on diameter can be made in a single pass.

The F10XS features a large work envelope for work on up to 15-liter size blocks such as the Cummins ISX while maintaining a small footprint to save space in your shop. Optional Boring Cutterheads allow for a range of boring applications from 1.5" up too 9" diameters.

Compact and Powerful, the F10XS can complete a Floor-to-Floor Bore and Surface on a V8 block in as little as 30 minutes. Cylinder heads can be run at a production rate with Rottlers Dual-Axis-Leveling Table, where modern low Ra surfaces (as low as 12 microinch) can be achieved with ease.

Rottler's Point and Shoot Software includes quick programming for Cylinder Boring, Surfacing, Blind Hole Boring, Chamfering, and O-Ringing. Operations can be programmed in less than 15 minutes allowing quick setup for set and forget machining. Speed - The F10XS models use high performance AC servo motors for fast and reliable cutting performance. Spindle RPM ranges from 100 -1200 RPM and Feedrate is infinitely variable in .0001" increments.
Accuracy - The F10XS series uses a precision ground ball screws on the Horizontal and Vertical axes to control feed rate and cutter position. All machines are tested and certified to produce less than .001" total indicated runout on cylinder bores at a .040" or less cut on diameter.
Strength -
The Rottler proven spindle and bearing design gives you a rigid machine capable of making heavy sleeve cuts for a lifetime. Sleeving operations can be performed in one or 2 passes on sleeves up too .200" in total oversize thickness.
