Overview

We at Rottler have been designing and manufacturing machines since 1923 and we used those 89 years of experience to produce a new class of machine intended for both the small to medium size diesel engine rebuilder and the performance racing engine builder.  These versatile machines are able to perform common jobs such as boring/sleeving, surfacing (heads and blocks), main and camshaft line boring, and general industrial CNC machining with Rottler CAM software.Our latest CAD Software (featured in the EM79 and several of our other models) allows our tools to incorporate many functions and roles in one multi-purpose machining center, providing the diversity of many different machines in one  package.The EM70 Series completes the range of Rottler Machinery that exists today.

Rottler Exclusive Touch Screen Programming
The conveniently located control pendent centralizes the machine controls. Only the buttons and interactive menus required for a particular machine operation are displayed. Machine operations can easily be done manually or automatically, with the ability to store programs in memory. Digital readout allows the operator to accurately monitor position at all times. Control operates in metric and inch systems.

Please refer to a brochure, speak with your local Representative or contact us direct for more information.Automatic 4th Axis Block Roll Over FixtureRottler’s Universal Quick Load/Unload Automatic Rotate 4th Axis Fixture and Software allows the computer to rotate the block or cylinder head during the automatic machining cycle. Large V blocks can be rotated 360 degrees to allow special machining jobs such as stroker clearancing in same set up as boring,  surfacing and lifter bore machining. The tail stock is pneumatically operated  allowing easy and fast loading and unloading of heavy blocks.Connecting Rod FixturesRottler’s patented Connecting Rod Fixtures allow large connecting rods to be surfaced and bored on the EM79 machines. The Rottler boring fixtures allow both big end and small end to be bored in one set up resulting in perfect  parallelism between big end and small end. All the rods in a set can be  accurately bored for equal center to center distance, a must for today’s high compression diesel engines. Special heavy duty fixtures available for boring  very large, heavy connecting rods found in natural gas compressors and  workboat marine engines are available.Dual Axis Leveling TableRottler’s patented dual axis leveling table and universal quick clamping system for surfacing/milling heads, blocks and manifolds with CBN and PCD tooling. The Rottler Dual Axis Leveling Table allows clamping of the head to be  complete first, then the level adjusted in both directions simply by rotating the two hand wheels. Combined with Rottler's Dual Axis Level, any job can be clamped and leveled in seconds! This process results in minimum stock removal when surfacing.
